I have never met anyone who didn't wish that they could play music, be it with aspirations of playing in a big rock-band, playing around a campfire to friends and family, or just strumming some chords or singing when your alone and relaxing. Learning to play can be the most rewarding experience of your life! Sometimes you need lessons to learn the guitar piano or keyboard. Sure it can be frustrating , but when you finally play those four of five bars correctly and you suddenly make that instrument speak, man that feels good and it feels even better when you get together with some good friends and your able to make some music and really play together, it is very rewarding!

There are many things students will face in University and beyond. Students are ripped from their comfort zone, their friends, their family, and everything they have known for eighteen years. They are then faced with themselves, with the new found freedom life in the university will bring. New friends, professors, a different lifestyle, and the hopes of their future are just some of the things they will face.

So, to the harsh reality of the heading of this article. If they're not behaving then you're not doing it right.... Oh Liz, that really is harsh. Maybe it is harsh - but it's true.... Either as a school (and kids' behaviour should be an all school issue) or in individual classrooms, if behaviour isn't improving (and presumably people want it to?) then something is being done wrongly. The great thing is though, anyone can learn the skills to effectively manage children's behaviour. As I've written before - skill and confidence are the keys to success.
