Hi - I'm a resource room teacher for grades 2-5. I do pull-out replacement for Language Arts. I have two grade levels at one time which can be quite challenging. Although for the most part I have great students - very limited - but great kids. My problem I am having is with my 3rd graders who cannot grasp common sight words, and basic phonic sounds. Tying to get them to write something legible without me standing right next to them soundingout letter is pretty much impossible. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get them to at lease write slightly independent. I know reptition, word walls, phonic drills. But maybe someone is using something I dont' know about yet. Any help would be really appreciated! Thanks! :)

Hi Erin,
I use the Battelle Developmental Inventory, 2nd Ed. to qualify students for developmental preschool. It has a screening tool also.
Let me know if you need more information.

An appeal to everybody :
Hi,
About 8 million children in India are denied their basic right to education. With the Right to Education Act making education free and compulsory, we must now join hands to help these children exercise this right.
UNICEF has started a movement Awaaz Do that provides us a platform to ensure that no child in this country is denied his/her basic right to education. Pledge your support to the cause.

Kelliey Pefrein It's very clear that sooner or later Procellix Cellulite Cream will be banned. That is the easiest of all for me,
